More than 80% of the data we generate every day isn’t organized in a predefined way, which makes it difficult to interpret and evaluate.
Finding the needle buried within an unstructured data haystack isn’t an easy task. By counting the number of times a keyword or phrase appears in your raw data, patterns become more apparent, and it is easier to understand what’s important to your customers.
The McGaw Keyword and Phrase Analyzer is a powerful — and free — tool that we created to help you figure out what’s important in an ocean of unstructured data, so you can create a data-driven business strategy.
You should use the McGaw Keyword and Phrase Parser if:
- You ran a survey and have 1000’s of open-text responses. Combing through them is hard so you use our tool to find keywords and phrases to improve and speed up your research.
- You want to improve the copy on your website. Take all your customer feedback data and then drop it into the McGaw Keyword and Phrase Parser to find the words your customers are using, and then add those to your website.
- You have a mile-long list of leads and you’d like to better understand the titles of the folks on your leads list. Just export the CSV of the titles and then use our tool to find common phrases and patterns in your data.
Goal: Count how many times a key phrase appears in your raw data to find patterns, e.g. from open-ended surveys. Use this data to improve customer messaging, SEO and other marketing/advertising efforts.
1Paste your raw survey or other
type of data in the left text area.
2Select the number of words per phrase
you’d like (1 through 5) and hit Run.
3Check the results in the
“Your Results” section.
4Copy and paste your results into
a spreadsheet for further analysis
